I had my ultrasound results and do quite understand some of the terms, it reads as follows:
The retroverted uterus appears normal in outline, however, has aheterogeneous echo pattern measuring 6.5 x 5 x 5.4cm. Within the posterior intramura is a fibroid which measures 2 x 2.4 x 2.3cm. The left ovary appears normal in outline containing a simple cyst which measures 2.2 x 1.8cm and a dominant follicle of 1.4 x 1.2 cm. The left ovary has a volume of 16 mls. Within the right adnexa in close proximity to the right lateral wall of the uterus is a well defined heterogeneous mass, this mass measures 3 x 2.9 x 3.7 cm and demonstrates internal vascularity. As the ovary is not seen separate to this, the overall appearances may suggest right ovarian in nature, no free fluid is seen.
I would be grateful if anyone with knowledge or experience of this explain what it all means.
