I'm told there's a pumpkin shortage in these parts.  I'm happy to do my part by refraining from cranberries, which do come in a juice you might like.

We're thankful for your participation in this forum.  Peace.

Karen, I was thinking about that Jones flavored soda, as well.  Somehow, I can't imagine it being anything close to the real thing, but who knows!  Conan O'Brian had "Tofurkey and Stuffing" soda on his show last night.  Sharon, maybe you can get your hands on some of that!  Wishing you well today, and every day.  Sounds like you have a wonderful guy there helping you out.  I'll continue to send postive thoughts for many good days ahead.

Doesn't the Jones soda have a turkey flavor?  I swear that they do and they bring it out this time of year.  Enjoy your thanksgiving tomorrow.  I've got lots of cooking to do.  So, I think I'll procrastinate some more and surf the web further.

Happy Thanksgiving to one and all.

Hugs,

Karen

Sharon, it was the best thing this morning to read your post. Your "turkey smoothie" made me smile. I am thinking pumpkin would be better too, lol.  But whatever sounds good to you is what counts. You sound so upbeat - good for you!! We all know you are such a fighter. Sending you lots of love and hugs,
Colleen

Sharon, Always do what you think is best for yourself,  a turkey smoothie?  that brouight a smile to my face, I cannot imagine how to do it, maybe a pumpkin  one would taste better. Leslee's family is all well,  her middle daughter is expecting again,  I am flying to AZ  the middle of DEC to be with son and family there  for 3 weeks,  I haunt this forum, watching out for  my "old" friends, you all deserve so much more than has been given to you,  but you all face it so graciously.  Happy Thanksgiving "American style"  and lets just wait and see what tomorrow comes.  Love from an old friend, Marty

It's me!
We will be celebrating American Thanksgiving in Canada, motley crew that we are.  Trying to figure out how to make a good turkey smoothie, anybody have a recipe?
Thanks for the concern, I have been doing ok at home with a lot of help from home nurses and my wonderful husband.  He has taken a compassionate leave of absence from work and is at my beck and call.
I get IV hydration 3 days a week, my pleural catheter is drained twice a week and as long as the bowels stay in business, life goes on so to speak.
The tumors are all over the abdominal cavity but I will consult with my oncologist in the middle of December to make the final decision about chemo - given the circumstances, we will likely go with palliative care only.  My name is on the list for residential hospice care which I think is the way I want to go, later not sooner.  Maybe I can just mosey along like this for a while, best to just focus on the moment and not look to far ahead.
Happy Thanksgiving Medhelp friends!
Love,
Sharon

I'm thankful that Sharon is hanging in there. At least from the last that I heard. Let's do a toast to all the hard fighting women on the board that keep on going for the sake of their family and friends. No matter what the doctors tell them, they don't give up or give in. Such selfless giving.
