Hi,
I would have the gyn oncologist on standby at the surgery as they have a few more years experience than a gynaecologist . Is the mass a cyst ? if so only approx 5% are malignant so the chances of finding a cancer are quite rare . I know its hard but try not to worry until theres something to worry about , thats the advice some of the great women on here gave me and its very true .
Take care Angiexx
Hello,
Sorry about your health issues. I would suggest that you ask the gynocologist if a gyn/onc would be available during your surgery just in case cancer is found. The probability of needing the gyn/onc is almost less than 1%, however.
A gyn/onc is specially trained in all aspects of gynecological cancers, and the special debulking, staging, types, and therapys that are involved in gynecological cancers.
Good luck, dear. I'll be thinking about you. Feel free to post more if you have any other questions.
Hugs,
Shari
