Update on Burnzie (Karen)

This is Karen's husband typing. She wanted me to let you know that she is now in a wonderful hospice in Ottawa. We have been here a week and they are taking great care of Karen. She is relatively pain-free and she is at peace. She wanted to let you know how much you ladies on this forum have helped her share and vent and how much you help each other. Thank you for all your answers, comments and love and we wish everyone good luck. Please enjoy life to its fullest and love your family.

I'm glad they are keeping the pain away for her. Hospice did a wonderful job for my Dad too. I'm sorry she's not getting all the extra years we all hope for but I'm glad she's able to face this unexpected turn and let go. Cherish your time with her. Even these difficult days ahead of you will end up being treasured memories. Hugs to you both.

This sure isn't the way we planned things to happen.  My heart goes out to you at this difficult time but I'm happy that you are getting good care and at peace.  I hope I can acheive that state of mind as my time is coming soon.
