Hi, I haven't heard from Paula in a couple of days.  Just wondering if she's doing OK.

Sorry Lori, I meant to post earlier.  She is doing okay last I heard and will probably be going home tomorrow.  She did eat some greasy chicken broth but may still have to have the TPN thing when she goes home.  That's all I know.

I was planning on a jail break today, but I'm going to be here a couple more days.  I'm still on TPN and still having trouble eating, but I'm improving after surgery.  Improvement will only be temporary until we find a chemo that works and that's been postponed a couple of weeks.  Whew, did Gemzar do a number on my counts!  I can't wait to try it again.  Thanks for thinking of me. I am really glad the Gemzar worked for you. Did you have many side effects?  Sorry you aren't getting out tomorrow, that really sucks.  I hate it when you are expecting to get out but something happens to keep you there.  You will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers Paula.  Just follow the 3 R's.  Rest, relax, recouperate.  Take care.

No, no, you misunderstood.  Gemzar hasn't worked yet--I meant my white, red, & platelet counts just plummeted a week after treatment.  Everything just kind of hit at once.  I will go home in the next day or so and will have to take TPN with me.  Paula

I hate to hear that you are still in the hospital. I hope that they can get all of your counts straightened out and back to normal. Gemzar did that to me to the first couple of treatments. Hang in there, we are all behind you.

Oh, okay. I thought you meant you CA125 plummeted with Gemzar.  I know it is not a fun chemo (like any are) and I could not even finish mine it was so harsh, but it isn't like that for eveyone and maybe this time will be different.  Does your onc give you a neulasta shot?  If not maybe he should.  Take care and if you don't get paroled soon we'll come bust you out.  LOL
