ovarian cyst

I have had 3 operations since 1997 for ovarian cyst.  I now have on that is 2.6 x 2.1 x 1.7 CM in side my left ovary.  I just got back from the Drs and she told me that it is inoperatable at this size.  Has anyone else been told this.  The ultra sound Dr compared this to the 2003 mri which I had a serous cystadanome operation on after the mri. What would you do in this situation?

I had a cyst that was 2-.5 cm for close to 3 years that Dr did a wait and see with ultrasounds  and pelvic exams and was pretty certain was an endometrioma. Said till it would get over 6 cm they don't usually take out.Well it grew to 10 cm  and Dr  still felt certain it was endometrioma, much to Dr surprise,gyn/onc surprise, and my total shock,it was ovca.I don't mean to scare anyone because majority of these cysts are benign, but there is always that chance, and I think Drs need to get on the ball about removing cysts sooner and not do a wait  and see, based on age, family history, whatever.I wish you good health and hope all goes well for you.

Hi.  Mine is just under 2x2x2 and the Dr insisted on removing it which I thought was odd but says she thinks it is benign...  She thinks it is an endometrioma.  Did she mention what kind of cyst she thought it was?  Interesting how different docs have different opinions..
