Your nurse should be able to give you a shower shield.  It's a clear piece of plastic that has a sticky border on one side that you just peel off and stick on over your port area.  It's like a larger version of the sticky plastic shield they use for IV's that will be in place a while.  One of my chemo regimens required 5 day/week treatment once/month so it was easier to leave the port access in rather than to be re-stuck every day.  If your nurse doesn't have one, a medical supply store should.

I never had them leave my line in since I had chemo at the hospital. I think you need to ask your nurse. I would hate to give the wrong answer with a port and line.
