transvaginal pelvic ultrasound results

Can anyone explain the results, I am really confused.

Ultrasound: Uterus is normal in size. There is a pedunculated fibroid arising from the left body of the uterus measuring 1.8 x 1.3 x 1.3 cm. The endometrial echogenic complex measures 4.7mm, within normal limits for a menstruating female. Within the endometrium, there is a HYPER echoic structure with measures 1 x 0.4cm without evidence of flow that may represent a polyp. This can be further evaluated with a hysterosalpingogram. The cervix is normal in size and appearance. The ovaries are normal in size and contain follicles bilaterally. There is a
1 x 0.8 x 0.8 cm EXOPHYTIC cyst on the RIGHT ovary. Flow is demonstrated to both ovaries. No adnexal masses are identified. No SIGNIFICANT pelvic free fluid.

I would appreciate any input from someone to help me understand the scan.

Not knowing what is going on is making me frustrated and worried. If I had some explanation at least I can stop wondering what's going on.

Thanks in advance.....Rennie

Thanks. I am not thrilled with the doctors refusal to explain the report, now I am waiting for my gyno doctor to call me next week to advise further. I would rather see other peoples opinions and experiences, as I have not a lot of trust in the treatment I have received from doctors in the past. I feel I have to investigate and take my own health in my hands, and need to find out everything possible before making any decisions. I have seen a few people on here who were originally told everything is fine, bloodwork is normal, its only a cyst and then a few laters now I see they have passed away from cancer. I hope to learn as much as I can to avoid any potentially fatal oversight by a doctor.

You should ask your doctor to go through the results with you, especially the sentence about further evaluation.
