Advil Before Sugery

I am having sinus surgery in three days. I had to take 600mg of Advil (at once) to stop a 29 hour migraine. I was given a list of drugs to stop taking 14 days before surgery so there are no complications from bleeding, Advil is one of them on the list. Is this going to be a problem for the surgery? Will 3 Advil thin my blood that much after three days?

Definitely discuss it with him and ask him what you can take if you have a migraine again before surgery (acetaminophen [tylenol] with caffeine from a soda is often a good go-to, but let's say excedrin's on there, it might still not be ok because same difference).

You need to call your doctor and tell him/her that you took this medication. You should not go into surgery without divulging this fact. Your doctor will be the one to tell you if it is a problem or not.
