HiI have been having irregular periods for almost a year and the last 6 months it has got worse and I put weight on. I have periods all the time. I went to see a doc and she recommended having an ultrasound as the last month or 2 I'm constantly bloated, constipation which I've never had till now, constant back ache at the bottom of my back, pressure during sex and really uncomfortable feeling in my left area. I had the ultrasound today and ended up having vaginal ultrasound also and they discovered I have a 5cm cyst on my left ovary which is pushing my uterus to the right. He didn't say what type of cyst but suggests a referral to a gynaecologist to take it from there. Is 5cm big enough to be feeling all this ? And will they remove it ? What type of cyst is it most likely to be and should I be worried it's pushing on my uterus? Also ive been on the pill for years.combined pill for 14yrs and mini pill the last 2 years as the estrogen was giving me migraines. Im 31.
