COMPLEX PATIENT

HAD CT DONE, SHOWS 4.5 CM LEFT ADNEXAL MASS/PREDOMINATLEY CYSTIC LESION MULTIOCULATED. I HAVE HAD POSITIVE STOOL GUIAC TEST X 3 SINCE 1/2008. I HAVE FOLLICULAR AND PARACORTICAL LYMPHOID HPERPALSIA WITH SINUS HISTOCITES. MY FERRITIN LEVEL IS 7 WITH IRON SATURATION 8%. I HAVE BILE COLORED DIARHEAA, NO VIRAL OR PARASCITIC INFECTIONS- WORKED UP FOR ALL OF THAT. EXTREMELY TIRED AND THIS CYSTIC LESION HAS BEEN PRESENT SINCE 12/07. I HAVE EXTREME LOWER LEFT SIDED HIP PAIN THAT FEELS LIKE I HAVE A BALL I ROLL ON.

MY GRANDMA HAD UTERINE CANCER AT AGE 31, BOTH GRANDFATHERS DIED OF MULTIPLE MYLEOMA AND LYMPHOMA AROUND 50. I AM FRUSTRATED, I AM YOUNG, AGE 30 AND I DONT KNOW WHAT TYPE OF MEDICAL DOCTOR TO SEEK. I HAVE A APPT FOR A OPEN L- SCOPE NEXT WEEK AND I DONT KNOW FOR WHAT AND WHAT TO EXPECT. ANY INFO WOULD BE GREAT. THANKS

Good luck iwth everything.  I've had the GI problems before too (Ulcerative colitis) and hope that it is nothing serious.  It sounds like your doctors are being very thorough.  Let's hope that the L-scope quickly identifies the issues and they come up with a plan for you.  Cysts can cause a lot of pain and diarrhea but the blood is another thing.  Take care and do please keep us posted.

I HAVE SEEN THE OBGYN WHO FIRST SAID HE COULD NOT IDENTIFY THE CYST THAT THE CT FOUND, THEN AFTER ALL IT IS THERE 4 MONTHS LATER, SAME SPOT. HAVE HAD 3 CT SCANS DONE IN PELVIS. NOW IT SEEMS THAT THEY WANT TO DO AN OPEN LAPOSCOPE AND I DO NOT KNOW WHY OR WHAT THEY MIGHT EXPECT TO FIND. I HAVE TWO CHILDEREN AND WANT TO GET THINGS PREPARED FOR WHAT MIGHT COME, DONT WANT TO BE SCARED BUT PREPARED. THEY WANT A GI DOCTOR TO SCOPE ME FROM HEAD TO TOE BEFORE THE SURGERY, DUE TO EXTREMELY LOW IRON AND LOW IRON SATURATION, AND LOW FERRITIN, PLUS POSITIVE BLOOD IN THE STOOL. WHICH I HAVE HAD DOCUMENTED SINCE 12/07.

You need to get to a gyn fast and see about getting a CT scan.  Who is treating you for the cystic lesion?  Is it being regularly monitored?
