I'm curious what you ended up doing?
I am 36 weeks pregnant and have a 23cmx11cm ovarian cyst. I consulted with 3 different doctors. My favorite option was to try to delivery naturally & have it laparoscopically removed after, but my baby is breech. So the new plan is to have a vertical incision in my abdomen, horizontal c-section, remove the cyst, ovary, & fallopian tube, and have a frozen section done to check for cancer before stitching me up, all while using a spinal & epidural so I can remain conscious for the birth of our child. Mine didn't get that large until 30 weeks, so it was too late for a 2nd trimester intervention. Would love to know how yours went!
I think the surgery is simple enough for now but the amount of drugs I needed for nausea, pain, etc. is what would worry me. I would go for the c-section and get rid of it all. Won't your dr be able to see the cyst to know if it is still there, or will the baby be in the way? then you could know if you should have the c-section or vaginal delivery. Good luck!!!!!!
I'd go for the C-section option, and remove the cyst at that time.
NO WAY is that going to resolve after the fact. You are going to need surgery one way or the other, might as well get it done after the birth.
But you MUST take it very easy between then and now not to rupture that thing. NO heavy lifting at all or any other strenuous or vigorous motions.
Have you considered getting a second opinion by another gyno? Do what they say is best for you and your baby, try not to worry because the baby will know that you are stressing. Good Luck with it all let us know what happens!
