Thanks to everyone for all of your posts. I am hoping you can help me.
One month ago, I went to my GP with some lower stomach pain. After a week of taking antibiotic for possible stomach bug, I went back still feeling bad. He knows I am very healthy, so he ordered a cat scan with contrast, and blood work, even though I had blood work done with a annual physical nine months prior. All clear. Then he ordered vaginal ultrasound.
Two nights before I was scheduled for ultrasound, I woke with severe, sharp burning, stabbing pain in my lower stomach pelvic area. I almost went to emergency room, but waited and the pain subsided. I got the ultrasound done and results showed 4.2 cm cyst on r ovary. He sent the results to my obgyn. , I saw obgyn one week later (at this time I am feeling much better, but still have occasional burning, tingling, in my pelvic area)
Obgyn was not concerned. Said we will do a second ultrasound in one month (which will be in two weeks). I told him about the horrible episode I had the evening before the ultrasound, I was convinced ruptured cyst. He said it could have been but I am still showing a cyst from the ultrasound done two days after my horrible episode. He did not really have an answer, said possible rupture, but cyst still showing. No others visible.
Could this 4.2 cyst have partially ruptured? I am having similar symptoms as posted by many others here, tingling, slight pressure in that area, slight burning on my ovary, and also some slight swelling in my glands.
I feel convinced that my body is trying to absorb the fluid, however the report from the ultrasound said "no free fluid is seen"
Today, I still feel some tingling, like itchy and some discomfort in pelvic area.
Would love some feedback. Again thank you to all for the posts.
