It could be pain from endometriosis.
Being that it is now 5 months since my last surgery i am still having pain as before & have had several ultrasounds & blood work & everything is coming back as normal but i know something just doesn't seem right, i should not be in this much pain....does anyone have any advice or if they have gone through a similar situation??? Thanks!
I did consider that because what was scheduled was a 45 minute surgery that turned into a 2 hour surgery & the Dr's office keeps telling me that he had to do more work than expected because of the mass that was half the size of my uterus & in the same breath they say Im now 3 weeks post op & I shouldn't be in pain. Im still confused on how he missed it & a couple days ago I went to the ER because I could no longer stand the pain & they said I now have a cyst on the left ovary so I am loosing trust in this Dr very quickly & I don't know what to do & how to regain trust in him. I know my body & I know Im not supposed to be in this kind of pain. I just want my voice to be herd & taking seriously.
I was still in horrible pain from my ovarian cyst removal surgery 6 weeks after the surgery. it was making me really worried that another cyst was growing on my ovaries, and at my post op follow up appointment the doctor ordered an ultrasound scan to see if another one was growing. Nothing was there and eventually the pain did subside but it took way longer than what I had read on the internet about everyone else's recoveries.
He just lazered it all off, He is a general GYN, no endometrosis specialist.
He could have missed some endo implants which could be the cause of your pain. A lot of those implants can be microscopic and they can be different colors (even clear from what I have read). It would seem odd that a cyst could develop and get to a size to cause pain so soon after surgery but it is feasible. Did your surgeon use excision (cutting out of the implants to the root)? That is the most effective way to remove endo. Laser just gets the superficial layer as far as I understand. Is your doctor an endometriosis specialist? There are only a handful of them in the U.S.
Hope you feel better soon!
