8.3 cm cyst

Im 31.i had a D & E three weeks ago.due to missed miscarriage at 9+ weeks.after that two weeks went fine.just lower back pain, off and on.in 3rd week i experienced a pain in my right thigh lower back and abdomen.and a small localized pain in my left pelvic area.visited a gynacologist.had a scan and find outi had a 8.3×5 cm cyst in my left ovary.continue to have pain on right side.breast tenderness and vaginal bleeding from yesterday.dont know its because of period or cyst.anybody who was in similar situation.what was the treatment.docter called me again after one week for TVS. Just gave antibiotics.

I dont know the type of cyst yet.trying to get appointment for second opinion.anybody who have large cyst and resolved with medicine? :(

Welcome to the community. I am sorry you are going through this. That is a fairly large cyst so it may have to be removed. Do you know the type of cyst - simple, complex? If you do end up needing surgery, it is best to have a cystectomy so that you can keep you ovary and its lifelong function of producing hormones that are essential to every aspect of health.

Cysts can cause abnormal bleeding due to hormonal changes so it may explain the bleeding.
