help

im an 18 year old female. no history in ovarian problems and a healthy teen but for the past 2 years ive been having really bad pain on my left ovary and abdomin area. ive gone to doctors and they say nothings wrong. one night it was so bad i ended up in the emergency room. they gave me a sonagram but they found no cyst. i have talked to my friends who do have cyst and our symptoms are the same except mine seem to be worse. lately its been hurting when i have to urinate. i feel like if something is tarring  or stabbing the inside of me. sometimes i cant even walk. ill just lay in my bed in pain. it hurts when i sit for a long time and sharp pain runs down my lower back. i usually get my periods every 3-6 months which isnt good. so i have it atleast 5 times a year or less. im just worried that it might be something really bad and if it is i want to fix it before it gets worse. ive even passed out because of the pain. is this a cyst or something else??

I couldn't agree more with Jaxsie. You need to find a Dr. who will listen to you. . It is very possible that you had either a rupture or a torsion. Unfortunately, there is no way we can tell you if it's a cyst or something else. . Do try to find a Gynecologist as soon as you can. .

Hope you feel better,
Sandy

Sorry to say this, but sounds like you need to consult a doc more agressively. If they did not find a cyst before did they find any evidence of one having ruptured? docs can find it difficult to diagnose problems, so you need to be more pushy and say you want some tests. Maybe try keeping a pain diary of when the pain comes and what it feels like- this might help. It could be endometriosis - this cases lots of pain and symptoms that sound like yours, but will not show up on a scan. the only way they can tell is with surgery, but a pain diary would help to suggest a link.

hope this helps,
