i was first on ortho tri cyclen i tried it for oct-dec and for two weeks after surgery then the doctor changed me to nortrel...i had the cysts removed from left ovary and was told the right one had small tiny cysts on it. he had to do work to left ovary but left it intact. with the nortrel i'm still having a menstrel cycle. i've stopped for a minium of 2 to 4 days then it will continue. i'm frustrated beyond means by all of this b/c i'm only 28. i go back to the doctor on friday to discuss my last option and that being a hysteroctomy. my sister had to have a partial one back in july and she's 29. i've had very little pain until today and it's like all over again...pain,pressure,misery...when does it stop i wonder???

what kind of birth control did he give you?  What were you on before?  I had my surgery Jan. 6 and she removed 2 cysts, left ovary, and tube.  I also have endometriosis.  I am 36 and have never been on the pill.  Three days later I went in for my check up and she suggested a hysterectomy.  I said no since I don't have insurance and I want to get a second opinion.  She told me she could put me on Seasonique, it's the pill that gives you a period every 3 months.  So far things are ok.  I noticed this past weekend I was getting mild cramps like I would be fixing to start my period.  This morning I had a little trace of blood and no more since.  I was told that every month around the time that I would be getting my period I wouldn't have a period just a little spotting, then on the third month it would be a period.
