spasmic pain

Since last night, I have been experiencing spasmic pain where my left rib cage ends.  Initially, I thought it was muscle spasm but am now thinking it's more than that.

I have had this kind of spasmic pain before, but it didn't last this long.

What is causing this?

Hi Bets,

I agree that this pain should be evaluated. You should rule out any cardiac issues. Don't wait if the pain is continuing you need a clincial exam.

If you have had all the tests recently it is a possibility that this is a gastric problem. Esophageal Spasms can cause great spasmodic pain.

GERD or Gastrointestinal reflux disease can also be painful but not to the degree that Esophageal Spasms can be. Only you know what level of pain you are at. I would certainly consult your physician.

Best of luck to you. Please let us know how you are doing. I'll look forward to your updates.

Peace,
Tuck

have u gone in and had a stress test to rule out any heart issues? pain in this area can be a serious issue

other causes are muscle related..also esphageal reflus causes spams in the rib cage..if u have thoracis spine pain..the mid back btw ur shoulder blades,,then those ribs connect in the front to ur sternum....

it is best to have this checked out..and be safe
