I saw someone suggest this on PNN using our own resources as a group. I would definitely help to make this happen. I once had a doctor that opened his own pain clinic helping the most ill but later the doctor passed away and there was no one to continue the practice. I'm still without stable care and running out of options as most of the clinics I find are only doing the addiction program. When I have consulted, I'm told to accept the program or look elsewhere. I heard the reason they do this is for big profits which includes a lot money from the government as compared to just a doctor visit and writing a prescription for the pain medication that works for me which is paid at bottom dollar from my insurance. I find this disheartening because many us are very ill and need pain medication to live. Without pain medication I may likely stroke out or have a heart attack from the stress of the pain I live with 24 hours a day. Buprenorphine medications don't help with my pain, they only send my mind into the stratosphere. I've been through the entire process of looking for a solution for my pain. My doctors concluded that the pain medication was last solution. At least with pain medication I can have some quality of life. The state I live in says a patient who is legitimately ill and needs pain medication should have it. Unfortunately, there are those in the medical field who disagree and are not willing to help, and the ones who do want to help can't because they don't own the practice. I would be so pleased to be able to go to a clinic where someone wants to help me the way I need because they take the Hippocratic Oath seriously.
