Hi!
Apart from a pain management doctor, you also need to consult an orthopedic specialist and go through treatments like epidural injections, deep tissue massage, manual therapy, physical therapy, swimming, nerve blocks etc to help reduce the pain.
If you abuse the drugs, then you will find it difficult to find a doctor who can take you in. There are many ways to take a drug and if you need round he clock pain relief the you can opt for pain relief patches. Please ask your ortho doctor regarding this.
In my experience, people who adopt other alternative therapies along with pain relief medications show the best results.
To find a doctor close to your place you can consult your insurance agent or office. There may be others at your workplace or around who have been to a pain management clinic. So, you could ask them. Local pharmacists too could guide you. You could look through the local directory. Check and see if there is a pain support group. Members of this group may be able to help you. Take care!

The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you. The advice may not be completely correct for you as the doctor cannot examine you and does not know your complete medical history. Hence this reply to your post should only be considered as a guiding line and you must consult your doctor at the earliest for your medical problem.

Thank u but all of the above u mentioned I try ,I have and more than once. I have been in pain mang. for over 15yrs and was a health care worker. The hospital where I worked was a teaching hospital so I was always around the best of the best and tried all of the above that u mention. It really pisses me off that the first thing anyone thinks is I am drug seeking.U damn straight I am because that is what works after trying everything and I didnt just try for a month or 2 but for yrs. So when I say I need help finding a good pain mang. dr. in citrus county fl or hillsbough that is excatly what I need. I suffer drom high blood pressure and when I am in chroic pain it gets really high . Pain meds work so if its not broken do not fix it. My last dr. is so busy its a all day job just to go . I dont care if they dont take my ins. as in the past I find the ones that dont maybe not the best in your opinion but at least I will be around to enjoy my grandkids. Now back to my / DOES ANYONE NO OF A PAIN DR. IN MY AREA
