I'm sorry, i can understand very well because i have been living with scleroderma for 9 years and it's affecting my stomach already along with other problems. I'm 33yrs. old. I also have fibro and i also have an implant to help with my arms and hand pain.
I'm on meds right now, but once again it's an added thing to my list!! They do have heated gloves to help with the cold weather and you can get them online and the name of the company is called CoreGloves.com!!
Hope this helps
I am so sorry. My cousin has scleroderma too, and it's now affecting her internal organs. She is only 28 years old and was diagnosed around age 20. It's progressed very quickly and probably doesn't have too many years left to her. The only thing to be done is to treat the symptoms as there is no cure. My cousin has a great deal of trouble moving her hands when the weather is cold, so she wears gloves during all but the warmest couple of months of the year. She has several prescription medications, but I don't know what they are other than steroids being the main one. Point being, other than over-the-counter anti-inflammatory meds, your sister needs to see a doctor for medication.
