i have a lump

i have a lumpbelow my sternum, it causes pain, in short sharp bursts or sometimes throbbing, the pains usually only last a few minutes but can occur throughout the day. i went to the doctor who told me it was just cartiledge from my sernum, i went to another doctor who referred me to the hospital, but after two years i am still waiting for the appointment. Any idea what this could be? the lump can be move around a bit if i push on it.

I think maybe you have slipped thru the cracks at the appointment desk at the hospitial as it should never take two years for an appointment. Call the hospitial and see what has happened. You really need to have some test done to make sure this isn't something more serious that requires immediate attention. I am really surprised the doctor did not do test to make sure it wasn't malignant.
Please call and if they do not have you down for an appointment which is what I think has happened you need to see a doctor as soon as you can and get some answers.

is therre another hospital that you can get into sooner? I would talk to your dr cause you shouldn't have to wait that long to get in somewhere, maybe there is somewhere else they can send you too.
I hope it all works out,
Jamie
