Asthma Pain?

Hi,
     I have been having a sharp chest for years. I have been on acid reflux medicine it did bot get rid of the pain. I was told that the pain comes from me having asthma and I need to exercise more. So I have increased my amount of exercise it has made the pain worst and more frequent. It is a sharp pain on the left side of my chest and it also feels like someone was sitting on my chest in that area. Generally it comes when I am really exhausted and short of breath. Can you tell me something to take to ease the pain?

    Yes I take Qvar & Symbicort. They do not help with the pain unfortunately. Thanks for the advice.

Do you take any kind of medicine for your asthma? I have asthma myself and used to have sharp pains when I would take a very deep breath but since I have been useing Advair ,I haven't done that . There is only one draw back to Advair and that is, it is expensive even with my insurance the copay on it is over $50.00 a month but it does improve my breathing so I guess you fight one evil with another.
