Still laughing at CVS Pharmacy

I don't know if some of you remember but last week there was a big discussion about the vicodin that my doctor had prescribed adn how many days it would actually last me.  I was getting 180 pills and my dr. nurse told me to take 2 every four hours, I then was telling people that the nurse told me it was a 20 (or 22) I can't remember which one, but that it was not a 30 day prescription. I called CVS last week before I started taking two pain pills every four hours and the pharmacist told me it was a 30 day prescription, and I told her the nurse had told me to take 2 pills every four hours, the pharmacist said that I'd run out early because of the prescription and how it was written.  I was talking to a few members on here, and most of you guys told me there was no way it could be a 30 day supply.  I know Sherry, Sara, and Jamie, said something and Tuck may have told me that too.  I decided to try to only take one pain pill every six hours and it was bad, but I didn't want to run out early and have the pharmacist call my doctor and get the prescription changed.  I just thought I'd et it filled at day 29.

Today I was on CVS to order the last prescription of antibiotis for my tooth, and I noticed that the vicodin was lit up in red.  I thought, this can't be ready for refill yet because it's a thirty day prescription, per the pharmacist and it's only on day 20.  I thought about it and called CVS, and spoke to the SAME pharmacist who then continued to tell me that the prescription was never a 30 day and it's time to refill it.  I couldn't believe it, she was the exact pharmacist that told me the other way around.  She was very nice about it, told me my copay was 10.00 and it almost made me wonder if someone had contacted her or something because the answer was so different.  Here I've been scraping to make this prescription to last 30 days when the nurse was right the whole time.  I guess I learned a great lesson to TRUST what my nurse is saying to me.  So, everyone, thank you for all your advice and of course you all were right on!!

It's wonderful to hear some good news for a change!
Whoever was praying for Karen, please pray for me!  I know God gives us challenges and will always bring us through them, but I feel like I've had enough challenges lately.

Karen, I'm so glad your pain is finally being treated as it ought.  You're such a sweet person, and while no one deserves to be in chronic pain, you certainly deserve to be happy!

Sara,

Thanks for responding and helping out and helping me keep the faith. You were on of the people that pointe out that my prescription was NOT a 30 day prescription so I really appreciate all the help.

By the way, I really hope they find your beautiful cat soon!  I have my Samantha with me everynight and until my other kitty Alex was put to sleep she never slept with me but now she does every night.

I am so glad you dont' have to worry about running out anymore, I know you have been worried sick about it. If you called your nurse and told them what CVS said then I say maybe she called her, but for whatever reason it is a great thing that you don't have to go without your meds and you can take them just like you was. I am so happy for you. One less thing weighing on you!!!
