Pain Addiction

Hello, I am new to the forum, and I really want to stop taking lortabs. I take about 6-8 a day, and I am really looking to stop. I had a neck injury last march from a sledding accident. I was looking into taking a thing called withdrawal ease. Can you help me and let me know if these are something to subside the withdrawal? Or is there another way to help? Thank you!

to reduce side effects, reduce your dosage every day. Take your normal dose on a regular day, which you say is 6-8. next day take 4-5, day after take 2-3 and so forth. it will ease the side effects, if you will even have any depending on how long you have been dependent on them. I use to take over 500mg of Oxycontin every week and the come down was the worst 3 days of my life, but you have to stick with it.

I have never heard of withdrawal ease. If you are wanting to stop taking the Lortab the easiest way to do that with the minimum amount of withdrawals as possible would be to taper down your meds very slowly. What you want to do is space out your doses as far apart as you can until you first notice any symptoms of wd. You don't want to go down more than 10-20% at a time. It really depends on how many pills you take at a time and how many times a day you take them. If you take, say 2 pills 4 times a day, you would start off by going down to 3 times a day. Then you would spread it out more to twice a day then once a day. You would also be cutting down the amount you are taking. I really can't give you a number because I don't know how much and how often you are taking them. If you can give more information I will try to help you as much as I can.

I wish you luck and peace with the process.                Audrea
