Hi Kaprovea,
I'm not too familiar with your husbands type pf pain from person experience. But to me it sounds like your husband could use a pain management referal.
Its true antiseizures are known to help with nerve pain but they arent the answer for everyone or arent the ultimate answer just alone.
You may want to suggest to your husband that he asks his DR about going to pain mangement.
If he is in PM or the DR feels that he doesnt need PM then he needs to be honest with his DR and tell him exactly how he feels.
I hope your husband starts to feel better.
TMA
I am not very familiar with your husbands case but there is always more that they can do for the pain in many cases. Does he have any pain meds or just the anit-seizure meds? If he is in that much pain I would say he needs to call the doctor and let them know that he is in uncontrolled pain and needs some meduication to treat it. Has he been to a neurologist to determine what nerve damage is there and the extent of it? If it is that bad and you can't reach the doctor you always have the option of going to the ER to have the acute pain treated until you can get into the doctor for follow up and a better treatment plan. Good luck and I hope he feels better soon.
