Partial or near overdose

A few days ago I posted that the patch was working so well for me that I was tempted to add another.  Of course, I didn't and it was widely agreed here that I shouldn't.  With good cause.  Yesterday, I began to feel ill, buzzing and had DIFFICULTY BREATHING!.  I removed my patch and waited for over 14 hours for those feelings to pass.  It was pretty scarry.  I had read that the drug ramps up at 14-17 hours with each patch, now I know they continue ramp up between patches as well.  It continues to accumulate.  IF I continue on with this drug, it will be at a significantly lower dose.

What a close, but unfounded call!  I have COPD and it attacks sometimes.  I was watchful for signs of respitory distress while using the patch because that is one of it's chief warnings.  Also true of Soma, which I just started using at the same time.  When I felt the distress, I assumed it was the Fentanyl and discontinued it immediately.  But the distress continued so I isolated each drug I was taking and after 5 visits to the ER, wa assured that it was not drug realted - just COPD.  What a relief!  I was terrified.

I hope you were able to contact your doctor about the side effects. They make 25 and 50 mcg patches I believe. That is the drawback to the patches is that they don't leave or enter your body rapidly. I hope you are feeling better.
