Hi Bholu,
Welcome to MedHelps' Pain Management Forum. I am sorry for my tardy response.
This drug is apparently not prescribed in the USA and I have had some problems finding information. It is prescribed in Canada and India.
Myospaz Forte is a muscle relaxant that contains chlorzoxazone 500 mg, diclophenac potassium 50 mg, paracetamol 500 mg.
Forte simply means fortified so I am assuming that Myospaz is just the chlorzoxazone, the "guts" of the drug if you will. Often times manufactures add ingredients to enhance to effectiveness of a particular medication and add the term forte. I beleive that is the difference between the two names.
The same can be seen in the USA and an example would be a prescription for Darvon is just the Darvon. Whereas a prescription for Darvocet is Darvon with the acetaminophen (tylenol) added to enhance the main ingredient. Hope this helps.
Take Care,
Tuck
