I am so glad that it was the programming. At least you don't have to face another implant surgery or surgical adjustments.
I bet you are getting frustrated. I am sorry you have had to deal with so very much. You can only hope that when all is said and done you will feel so much better. I am not very patient either. But I am glad that you are healing quickly, a plus.
Hang in there and please continue to update us.
Peace, Tuck
Thanks Tuck!
They were able to fix it with some different programming. I'm still not getting the results I was from the trail... but from my understanding I'm going to have to do a lot of reprogramming as my lead scars into place.
I'm getting really fustrated with the recovery process. My doctor changed her mind and said she wanted me to wear the neck brace for 6 weeks now instead of 4!! The PA agreed with me and I'm only going to do 4... because 6 is just too much!! Plus... I can't use the simulator fully with the neck brack on because it presses aganist the surgica area which is still tender and it presses aganist the area where the lead is making for uncomfortable stimulation.
But... I had my sutures removed and they said I was healing very fast... which is really good... but it also probably means that my scar tissue is buiding up just as fast! :)
Hey Jeric,
I hear your fear and I am sorry that you have this strange new and scary stimulation. I have not had a stimulator so I apologize for not knowing about them.
It may not be an emergency but a call to your physician cannot hurt. He or his nurse should be able to tell you what is going on. It may indeed be a programming problem. That call may provide you some piece of mind.
Hopefully others will post with more knowledge than I have on stimulator's. Take some deep breaths and know that we are here for you to support you how ever we can. Please keep us updated. Take Care, Tuck
