Gabapentin and horrible severe diarrhea

I had back surgery a year ago and I have been on Gabapentin ever since. I have nerve damage in both feet and right leg due to the disc that was removed. I havent been able to figure out why Ive had diarrhea thats progressively gotten worse and worse until a few days ago. Its the Gabapentin. The one thing I cant live without. Without it, my leg and feet burn and cramp and feel sporadic random stabbing tearing pains. But I have literally gotten to the point of not eating because every time I do, within minutes Im running to the bathroom. Literal minutes. Sometimes I cant get thru a whole meal and it does NOT matter what i eat. Fried chicken or lettuce. It doesnt discriminate. I dont understand this and Im gaining weight like crazy. How do you gain weight when everything you eat comes right back out momentarily? It makes no sense. Please Help!!

Try immodium (anti diarhea medication) with meals to see if this improves symptoms. You could trial other medications for nerve pain.
