Have you had x-rays of your feet?  Foot pain can have many causes.  I have hammer toes on both feet and bones that are pushing together and inflaming nerves.  In my case it's because of RA, but my podiatrist said he sees patients with similar symptoms that are caused by things like obesity and, yes, bad shoes.  He created custom molds for my feet so I'll have inserts in my shoes to relieve the pain.  Not sure if that answers your question -but foot pain can be caused by a lot of things besides bad shoes and should be checked out by a doctor.

Hi Sparrow,

Welcome to the Pain Management Forum.

It depends on what type of bilateral foot condition you are referring to....but certainly wearing too tight of shoes is not conducive to good foot health.

Take Care,
