Hi Miss,
Welcome to the Pain Management Forum. I am glad that you found us.
I think first you need to find our why you are having burning and itching. Is it a yeast infection or something that needs a physicians treatment? I don't know your age and that can play a part in your symptoms.
If you think you may have a yeast problem causing the itch and burning there are products you can purchase at your local pharmacy without a prescription. Just check the labels and you should be able to find something that you can apply local or insert or both. Those preparations are fairly inexpensive.
Usually vaginal dryness is not accompanied by burning and itching but it could be a possibility. If you think that may be the cause of your symptoms than again there are products to purchase at your local pharmacy to ease dryness.
If nothing we suggested works or your symptoms do not improve please see your PCP. Best of luck to you and please let us know how you are doing. Take care, Tuck
do you have a yeast infection? eat yogurt. if you douche don't do it anymore cause it can cause dryness in your vaginal area and cause it to itchy and burn. are you going through menopause, that can cause vaginal dryness also there are some over the counter hormonal supplements that will help with vaginal dryness. maybe talk to your doctor and see if he can give you something like a hormone supplement to help. a hormone imbalance with menopause will give you vaginal dryness. And the last and final comment / suggestion I have is that an STD can / may cause itching and burning and dryness in the vaginal area. Also watch what kind of soap you use down there, cause some soaps like DIAL are really drying.
I hope that this helps you.
