acid reflux in 5 week old baby...

Anyone have their babies diagnosed with this before?? My baby throws up right after eating. I sit her up to burp and before I can pat her back she is throwing up...Then when she burps throws up a bunch too... I have a dr appt for her Tuesday for weight check cuz she was 7.11 at birth and 7.12 at 4 weeks.... Seems like she should have grown more. even tho she dropped to 6.15 by the time she was 6 days old. Just curious if anyone else's baby is having issues like this.

I am breast feeding only. She isnt a screamer though and I thought that was more associated with the colicy babies. But I think I have a pretty slow let down partly because it takes nearly and hour to feed each time and also because I dont leak on the other side when she is nursing. Will see what dr says but just thought other moms might have had similar situations. Thanks for your reply.

well we used to call it colic but now its all acid reflux ..Are you breast or bottle feeding as she could be swallowing it down fast , is she gulping the milk? If you have a lot of milk try expressing some off before you feed her , it controls the flow .If not check the bottle nipple isnt too big ..
