Coughing for more than 2 months

Hey ...
My son is 3.5 years n he has been coughing and snezing for a long time.. on and off it increases some days n other days nothing...
His peadeatrician told me that he has allergy and we have been giving him zyrtec...yesterday we took him to the doc again and she said he  has sinus infection and asked us to give him augmentin,I am not very confident about  her diagnosis. What do i do???

If you are not confident about this Doctor then I would say get another opinion, hes your child... it does sound like allergy and this has been a bad year ..so take a second opinion ..zyrtec seems to be prescribed willy nilly ...he may need something different .good luck
