MSPI +eggs+corn bloody diaper/fever 102

My granddaughter is MSPI plus eggs & corn intolerant. She is one year old and has not gained any weight since she was 9 months. She weigh 16 lbs. I am really concerned over her pain and weight. Dr had her try to eat dairy last week and of course she now has bloody stool and fever. She is in pain and cries and I assume is hungry. My daughter still breastfeeds but it at wits end on how to feed her to gain weight. She can only eat so much rice, pasta, avocado and chicken & fruit.  She of course wants to feed herself now so turns nose up at baby food.

Isn't there something they can do for her pain and is there something the Dr can give her to help her gain weight?

Thanks for responding. She already has seen 4 pediatricians and a pediatric GI specialist as well as an Pediatric allergist. The reason we hve stuck with this pediatrician is she was the only one to support my daughters wish to breastfeed. All the other drs wanted her ot go on formula.

Turns out she has bad throat virus causing the fever. She will return to MSPI diet and In 2 weeks the Dr will refer her to the Pediatric GI Specialist at Fresno Children's hospital. Its just tough to watch in the meantime..

First off I'd suggest going to another doctor for a second opinion and see what that doctor suggests. I'd also try giving her foods similar in makeup to the foods she can tolerate and see how that works. Sorry to hear about all this and good luck.
