14 days late!!!!

I took a pregnancy test But it was one of those cheaper pregnancy tests from the dollar store completely negative. Anybody else take a different brand and get a positive.  Having pregnancy symptoms but the test is throwing me off.  Any sugguestions thanks.

As destynee said it doesn't matter what test you get one could always not work. And just because you are so many days late doesnt mean you are far enough along to get a positive result you could have ovulated late and not have enough hcg in your urine. I've used a lot of different test. I would say first response early result would be a good one to use.  With this pregnancy I used the 88 cent one from Wal-Mart first signal I think is the name. And the test was extremely faint so I waited a few days and bought the F.R.E.R. test and I could see the line better. You can't look up online about the hpt and it will tell you which ones are the more sensitive ones.

Ladies, the only reason I said SOMETIMES, is because ive bought 2 tests from the dollar store and 1 was negative. The 2nd one was positive. So it is possible to get a faulty test period.

I took a test from Dollar Tree and it came out positive, for certainty I went in to a women's clinic and paid for a blood test, which was also positive.

AND I actually got a false positive from the "good expensive" brand first response and was heart broken so I refused to use them again I used The cheap ones and got the right answer.

It doesn't matter what brand you use !! I used a dollar general general one general one and got 3 positive and I was only 5 weeks weeks so it picked iit up pretty early same with my first pregnancy I used dollar store test and so did my sister with all of her pregnancies and they were very accurate

Thank you everybody when I was pregnant with my first child that I lost at 9 weeks I took a first response and that shows up positive within seconds I just didn't know if I could trust the dollar store ones  seems as the other brands are Sensitive. Ima go get another brand today and take it tmw morning I will let you ladies know what happens

I took name brand pregnancy test two and they both were negative had to go in and get blood work and that's how I found out I was pregnant

I use first response or ept. Took my test when i was only 4 weeks pregnant  (only a day late on my per) and it came out positive

I always use the cheap $1 test... So Idk ...matter of fact it showed up on the dollars store test and not on the pregnancy resource one,, I was like well I just took it and it was positive.. I had to wait another 3days before it showed up on theirs

Get another brand. Sometimes the dollar tree ones are no good and wont pick up the HCG in ur urine. Get like a $5 one and test with the first pee in the morning when u wake up. If its still negative, u may have to get a blood test at the doctor. Take care
