negative pregnancy test? how long til i get a positive?

I went to the hospital and they gave me a pregnancy test (pee in a cup) it came out negative, i went there because i have been having light red and then brown discharge it lasted for two days, i thought since my period isn't due til monday maybe i took it to early. My question is how is if i pregnant how long should i wait to take a test? And if i am not has anyone experienced this before?

You have to count 31 days from the first day of your last period. The the day after what you land on. Wait one more day and take a pregnancy test. Good luck ^_^
