is it possible to get false negs on HPT with PCOS?

I was diagnosed with Pcos at 16 (5 years ago), after having no AF for 4 months - since then I haven't been regular, with only small periods of regularity occurring. (I was regular for 2 months before missed AF in Aug)
My LMP - 23/7/13, i took 3-4 HPTs within a month after missing AF in Aug, all negative! so I put it down to PCOS and forgot about it. Then early one morning last week, i felt what i think was a kick(directly above my pubic bone in the centre), followed by fluttering feelings and a heavy feeling to the right of my lower abs. i have felt bloated for the past couple of weeks and also felt twinges in my uterus but didnt think anything of.. Now, a week later i feel pregnant and am feeling alot of 'kicks' and 'movement' but HPT still says Negative!..could i be pregnant?!? Has this happened to anyone before?

Extra info:
According to calculations I would be about 21-22 weeks pregnant.
I have a 34 day cycles when I have AF.
I had unprotected sex with my partner 4 times in the 5 days around ovulation.
Increased sex drive, lightly tender breasts and sprouted chins hairs!?!

We had actually just decided to stop trying.. About 2-3 months earlier I stopped taking clomid and we started planning a cruise holiday with my family for this year instead :)

I will Lyrah :)
I saw the nurse at my Gp's office today (my doctor has taken a few weeks break) and she is as convinced as I am :) "there's definitely something in there" were her words, as she felt for my uterus, she stopped above my belly button had a good feel and didn't go any further :)
