How are you doing on your weight gain?

Now that we're well into the second trimester the suggested weight gain is slightly over 1 pound a week. I know that's right about what I've been doing for the last 3 weeks. At this rate I'll be the same weight I was when my daughter was born probably around 175ish just shy of 180. My average non pregnancy weight is around 160 so that keeps me in the normal range.

I'm checking in to see how everyone else is doing with their weight gain. I know for some of us it can be hard to put the pounds on and even harder to make sure we don't gain too much.

I'm already looking forward to losing the weight after the baby is born!

I don't blame you one bit NicMom, I just peeked at mine and I am up to 162, but the one upstairs that is not digital is showing that I am still at 159-160.  I always have weighed about 3 lbs higher on that digital one.  But at this point whatever I am gaining is going to a good place... the baby.

With my 2nd I never checked, but with my 3rd one and my age being over that magic # of 35 I was concerned about gestational diabetes so wanted to keep track of my weight this time.  Wow we are so in the stretch now :D

I feel like in the last two weeks my appetite has more than doubled. This morning I put away the scale I just can't bare to watch it go up when I'm so close to the end.

Great mzrichee thanks for joining I hope it helps some of us moms get over that hump.  I remember with my first I felt pretty unkept, my total focus was on our son.  It would have made us both feel better if I put more effort into my appearance.

I am still holding close to 160-161 and we are almost 29 weeks this Sunday.  I have been trying to keep up with the exercise too, but I am definitely not starving.  Looks like my weight gain will be about 30-35 lbs the way things are going, lol

29 weeks and weighing in at 168 about 8 to 10 pounds over my starting weight. Starting weight was still abt 15 pounds over ideal. My appetite is crazy these days and I anticipate gaining another 5 to 10 pounds before I'm done.

hi ladies. wow, everyone here seems to be doing really great with their weight gain. so far, i'm 28 weeks and have already gained 22lbs! and that's with all the running/exercises i'm still doing. at this rate.. i'd be lucky if i could keep it under 35lbs by the due date. with my last pregnancy, i gained 42lbs... so i guess we'll see. i'm not too worry about the weight gain. my doctor's not too concerned about it either. and the fact that i am still very active with my light exercises and running, i'm hoping to get back into shape as soon as i get the green light from the doctor after the baby. :)

seattlemom2plus -- i just joined your mommy weight loss challenge group. i can't wait to start it! only so many more months to go! :D
