i have been treated for chlamydia around two months ago me and my partner both took our medication as prescribed and was told to get re tested to check the infection had gone,my docor is not sure whther she wnts me to have it done as im 33 weekspregnant she was talkin to another doc bout it and sed she wld ring me once she had got further info on it,i herd her mentioning high vaginal swabs and endocervical swabs i think,could someone explain to me what these are and do normal vaginal swabs detect chlamydia?x

They want to take a swab to test you, yes. It is very important to protect your baby.

she sed she is worried about doin it how they would normally do it,but will a normal vaginalswab just placed inside the vagina be able to detect the infection if its there like the endocervical swab?
