caffeine?

I know we are allowed to drink up to 200mg of caffeine a day! What happens if its consumed daily? Or if offer consumed daily?? I do have caffeinated drinks, but when I do its way less than 50 mg a day

I was having some headaches at the beginning of my pregnancy and my doctor told me if I wanted two caffeinated drinks a day that would be fine but of course to stay away from Mountain Dew since it has the most caffine and no energy drinks of course. But it helped and I drink 2 sweet teas a day. I never really liked sodas but he's said it would be fine. Hope that helps :)

Really the true risk is having a uti if you don't drink enough water because caffeine is a diuretic.  My book from my hospital say up to 300 mg is actually fine daily. There is absolutely no evidence saying that there are effects on the baby. It deffinetly doesn't cause adhd don't worry. There was studies that said even excessive coffee drinkers who drank their whole pregnancy showed no long term side effects for them or their baby. Your fine. Just make sure your drinking enough water daily to prevent a uti. I personally drink caffeine daily. I didn't with my first but have this time around. If I don't I get horrible migraines pluss I have to wake up at 430 two days a week and 530 two others day a week. I can't function with caffeine let alone with out. There has been one new study that claims tylenol may be linked to adhd so when it comes to my migraines I'd rather have a cup of coffee or a few cups of pop. :)

I crave coke i drink.the mess out of it and my baby is healthy 6lbs being induced oct 6, but that dont mean to drink a hole 2 liter now but i do believe it makes the baby more hyper and i believe my baby might have adhd because i drink like 4 glasses a day at the most of coke

i think i over did it with the caffeen my first pregnancy my daughter was born 2 and a half months early and was only 5 pounds 4 oz i had to take a cpr class and she almost dident get to come home with me when it was time for me to go when i hurd that i prayed like ive never prayed be for the next morning thay came in and said she was good to go home i thanked god because i dont think i could have left the hospital without my baby im pregnant again and i dont and wont drink that much soda again.i think i drank it so much cuz it was all.i really had i had to stop smoking so i turnd to soda lol

With my first I drank like two to three mt. Dews a day and I went over due with a 8lb 5 oz baby and she was perfectly healthy ...(now none of these are souly based on caffeine but some things I have found during research ) sometimes its said to cause per term labor, hyper activeness when child is older, low birth weight , but like I said none of them were found to souly come from caffeine... you can always ask your doctor they would have a better knowledge of side effects if there are any

I had at least one coke everyday starting at 10 weeks. ..i gave birth to a healthy 6pound, 13 oz girl at 38+3.
Nothing happened to me, but I'm sure there could be side effects
