Pressure down there and Braxton Hicks Q's

Okay so I'm almost 29wks and I have sooooo much pressure down there. Last week I was able to get some relief if I sat down for a bit, but now as soon as I stand up it's back! I feel like I should have a hand down there holding her in lol. And then there are the braxton hicks contractions...Usually when I get them it'll be 3-4 in an hour then they stop (They told me to call if I had 5 or more in an hr.). But they HURT! I have to stop what I'm doing and basically breathe through them.  Also, I haven't been as hungry at dinner time and I certainly can't eat as much. It makes me really nauseous. Is this all normal does anyone know? This one is just sooo much different than with DS.... Thanks in advance ladies!!!

I had it a couple times so far where the BH ctx were uncomfortable. But the day before yesterday the ctx were every 2-3min and got pretty painful...just not so bad I couldn't walk or talk. I know it's causing some change tho (i'll be 37w tomorrow) because I lost a bunch of my plug the last 2 days. I was 1 cm at my last appointment but have been in about 6 times for my ctx to be stopped (they got 3-5min apart but weren't causing cervical change) with the terbutaline and procardia meds. They told me now at this point don't bother coming in til theyre so painful I can't walk or talk.....

i started having more ctx (bh still) last night and they're getting more uncomfortable today, so we'll see what happens!

Nurse said not much they can do about the pressure, but the OB will probably do a pelvic on me at my appt. on Thursday. She also said they'll look close at my u/s results and see what they say (had 2nd full anatomy scan today). She also said to keep an eye on the BH contractions as if I have 4-6 in an hour to call them. Thanks gals!

I'm 30 weeks this week and I've been feeling a lot of the same things you have for the last few weeks. In fact, last week I was having so much pressure and pain "down there" that it kept me up all night long; it seriously felt like I'd been kicked in the crotch (which I have experienced when sparring in my taekwondo lessons before this pregnancy...and *ouch*! I have a whole new level of sympathy for guys when they get kicked there now, lol). I'd experienced such a strong level of vaginal pain and pressure that night that I honestly wondered if something might happen and I even got up to check for bleeding or leaking fluids because the pain was so bad, but there was nothing thankfully. Just pain and pressure.
I also have *tons* of BH contractions, and have since about 18 weeks. Some days (about 2-3 times a week), I get them all day long AND all night long, 2-8 minutes apart, and about 3-7 and hour. I know what you mean about having to stop what you're doing and breathe through them, because that's exactly what I have to do. I feel the contraction tighten up and it's like my entire abdomen becomes temporarily paralyzed and rock hard. Stomach muscles, rib expansion, lung compression, and reflux hit me within a matter of moments, and oftentimes my heart either skips a beat or two or it just beats much more rapidly very suddenly, which makes me dizzy for a few seconds. Not at all pleasant. It also feels like my stomach becomes so heavy that it'll fall off my waiste, almost giving me a feeling like I have to hold it up, lol.
And my lovely first trimester nausea, super-sensitive smell, and mornining sickness (which usually hits me in late afternoon and evening) have all come back. I hardly want to eat dinner anymore. Thanksgiving was a chore for me just to get a few bites down, when normally I stuff myself. Last night, I ate half a sandwich and then suddenly out of nowhere I felt like I'd toss my cookies. I feel like I have no appetite left anymore; I just eat because I have to, not because I ever feel hungry.

But we're almost there! I have found for some crazy reason that counting down the weeks left to go is keeping me motivated and enthusiastic, rather than counting the weeks up anymore. So at 30 weeks, I think of it this way...only 8-10 weeks to go now. :-)

Thanks Rosa! I have to go in for a 2nd full anatomy scan tomorrow and then my regular OB appt. on Thursday. I don't like calling the office and talking to the nurses (but I lvoe my OB!). Usually the one's who answer never relay my message to the OB or they are just plain rude. The pressure is obviously pressure but it also hurts and like I said it feels like I should be somehow holding her in...idk! And yes, I'm starting to feel like the 1st trimester again also! Thanks again!

Your getting closer so things are going to get harder!! This is your sec right?? With subsequent pregnancys you tend to feel bh alot harder then you would if it was your 1st pregnancy!! If you have alot of pressure,,,i would get checked...that would scare me a lil ...you may need to stay off your feet....I remember with ds..i started getting sick again at 31 weeks...it was like the first trimester all over again!! I hope you feel better...call your doc for a little reassurence on the pressure if its that bad!! Good luck!! :)
