Stressing

So  long story short hubby and I are moving, we have our notice and thought we had the most perfect apartment ready to go.. Two weeks into the application process (yesterday) they call and say they want a cosigner. Our credit checks came back. Its not that we have bad credit, its that we have no credit at all. Which whomps, because I hate the thought of credit cards and I was told going on a contract with a phone company would build my credit, but its done nothing to it. And we don't have anyone to ask to cosign :( hubbys parents are working to rebuild their credit after tax issues, and my dad thinks they shouldn't be asking for a cosigner because we're giving them first and last, so he thinks its all one big scam and is refusing to help. So we're back to square one. We have 15 days to find a place and move. We can't apply to another apartment building because we'll end up in the same situation, and chances are it won't be enough time for the application process anyways. I don't want to raise my baby in a basement apartment :( We can't afford a whole house because we're not sure what my income will look like when I go on maternity leave so we don't want to take the chance of messing ourselves up. I'm so stressed. We have the option of moving in with hubbys family if we don't  find a place in time, but they smoke inside and he has a younger sister with special needs that really stresses me out after a couple hours and I just don't know what to do. I mean I know what I have to do, look for a place to live, but this stress is getting to me. /rant.

Thanks hun, you too. I'm so glad I can rant on here, its just easier where people can respond instead of.writing it in a journal. I wish you luck too. It su cks that its so hard to find a place! I started being picky and particular and now its like I'll take anything with four walls a kitchen and a bathroom...

im having trouble getting a place too
were currently living in a living room at my brothers house which everything is everywhere and i know it prolly stresses my brother having all our stuff there you knoww.
we havent had any luck finding a place and my bby will be here in 5 weeks but hopefully it works out for us,, hubby has no credit too. :( bleeeh

So my hubby goes back to the apartment to collect our deposit check and they said they wouldn't give it back. So he tells them that according to the landlord tenant act they have to give it back, and they still say no so hubby says he will call the police. As he goes to pull out his phone the property manager heard police and RUNS out of his office and starts SCREAMING at my hubby. And then he gets physical, starts poking his chest and trying to push him out of the door. Hubby lost his cool and punched a hole in the wall... I guess it was better then punching the guy, but it still upset me. We got the check back and our entire file from them, but now I'm worried the police are gonna show up and arrest hubby for property damage. I'm so tired of being stressed :( I'm trying to stay positive but it's so difficult with all this going on. I just want to curl up in a ball and say f*ck the world.

Oh dear! I am in a similar situation, except I was taken off work for pregnancy complications couldn't afford rent at the house so my son & I had to move, im having problems getting into another apartment because I still owe the landlord 800$, being off work I am on a very fixed income so can't just up & get in anywhere or have 800 extra to pay what I owe. We are currently living with a friend that has 4 kids......very stressful! I hope things fall into place for you guys! Chin up girl!
