Update: pain came back in full force. Ended up staying in the hospital wed- currently (will get relased soon) had a laser surgery to break up a very large stone. There is no way flushing it out would have worked so overall okay with the surgery outcome. Feeling okay. Still waiting for the spinal to wear off a bit in my feet.
I had a bout with stones 2 years ago, but not while pregnant...it was the worst pain I've ever experienced!!!! I've had 3 c-sections and that wasn't even close to how painful those silly little stones were...feeling for you hun...I honestly never even knew kidney stones were something u had a higher chance of getting while pregnant until this pregnancy...I've been a little nervous worrying abt getting them this time around...only 8 wks, 5dys left until my c-section, so hopefully they stay away..goodluck hun..:-)
Aww hopefully it has passed, I had that with my first and it was definitely worse than labour!
Either the pain meds are doing wonders or it passed. Hard to say at this point due to 3 different meds. I have experienced labor for 36+ hours with my first and then an emergency c-section. Since have had 2 more planned sections. I will also have a planned with this baby so labor and I are no longer paired up. This pain somehow makes up for the no labor with 3 out of 4!!
I've had stones with all three of my pregnancies but the worst was with my first. Ironically I had to have surgery at 34wks to remove several stones.
The good news is, once you get to labor it will be a breeze compared to stones. And I've had three low or no medicated births....I'd take labor over stones any day.
Good luck hoping they pass quickly for you!
Yea I had kidney stones with my first pregnancy. Omg was I miserable!! I wanted someone to shoot me. Good luck mama!!
Thanks ladies. Trying hard to flush it out but after midnight I have to stop food and beverage intake as they plan to do surgery in the AM.
I am so sorry :-(. No kidney stones but I do have pneumonia it's so so sucky I'm 35w5d.
I feel for you dear! I before pregnancy is prone to kidney stones...which puts me s high risk! I know kidney stones are painful enough but to add pregnancy on top of it...its so much worse! I do hope the best for you and a fast recovery!
