I was seventeen when I got pregnant with my first. I was raised by my grandparents so my grandpa was my father figure. He was upset at first but later told me it wasn't me he was upset with. It was himself. He felt like he had failed when I became pregnant. I think most dads feel that way. My grandpa finally warmedup to it once the shock was over and he absolutely adored my daughter and she had him wrapped around her little finger from the time she was born.
yeaaa thats true, im his only daughter so i guess he has the right too be upset.. at least now im stress free that both my parents know :)
I'm 20 and my dad wasn't too happy about finding out I was pregnant but I think it's the mindset most are in that you're his baby girl, they come round eventually :)
Itll get better I was 18 when I got pregnant with my first. Everyone was upset but very supportive. My mom even endes up throwing me a baby shower. everyone was in love when he was born no one cared about what happened anymore. Just hang in there and try to be understanding
thanks :) yea hes kinda over it now.. he tried being friendlyy. my mom told me that he wants too talk too my boyfriend. im kinda scared but these are the consequence. thanks for your words . means alot <3
Im 20 and my mum flipped out too, you just need to give them time to come round and let the news settle. Try not to be depressed, a baby is a blessing. Stay strong, im sure your dad will come round in time. X
I'm 19 too, I'm 18 weeks pregnant, and I'm married so my dad wasn't too upset, but my parents live across the country :/ they won't even be here when the baby is born. Your dad will get over being upset and he'll get excited about being a grampa!
