Hello im a ftm mom im 37 weeks and i was wondering how do you know when you start to dialate?

Im three days from my due date and since i turned 37 weeks my doctor has given me the option to get checked each week which i have. I think it really just depends on your doctor they are all different in the ways they do things. If you are worried about it you can always ask them.

Im 38 weeks and since 36 weeks my doctor checks me every week

Some don't check mine didn't with my first I had to go to the hospital due to cramps and they checked

Some don't check though, and remember dilation has nothing to do with when you'll go into labor.

Your OB should check your cervix.
