Did they do an ultrasound to see her weight or organs or anything? Or how do they know she's measuring 40 weeks?
They did an ultrasound and she was 2 pounds 2 ounces at 28 weeks. Yesterday they did the measuring of my uterus and she was measuring 40 weeks.
However all her organs are matured to term from the reading of the ultrasound
Yeah, she's way too small to be ready to come out. Your uterus may be measuring 40 weeks but if she's only like 3lbs, that's not alright. I actually believe that's underweight for 30 weeks, I'd talk to your doctor further to make sure there's not further problems...
The weight is actually probably okay for 30 weeks, but still she is way to small to be coming on her own soon. She'd most likely spend quite some time in the NICU. Did they check your fluid levels?
It's normal my neighbor just had her baby a couple weeks early as well the baby was fully developed and weighed 8 pounds and had no more room to last the whole 9months..
^she had an ultrasound 2 weeks ago and the baby was only 2lbs 2oz... Not anywhere near a birth weight
I went to the hospital for contractions last night and I'm 40 percent effaced and 1-2 cm dilated and sent me home after 4 hours of monitoring. She is about 4-4.5 lbs now.
That's still very underweight
My sister was born at full term and only weighed 4 lbs 14 oz. My neice was also 5 weeks early and only weighed 5 lbs. She is as healthy as can be. Every pregnancy is different. If her doctor and hospital are not worried then she shouldn't be either. If they thought it was too early they would stop the contractions and labor.
Thank you guys so much for the info and support
