Babies in the womb breathe amniotic fluid. Whether or not they can "breathe" is irrelevant. They are most concerned about sleeping on your back because depending on the position of your uterus and baby, it can cut off blood supply, and therefore oxygen, to your baby. As long as there is not too much pressure on your belly when sleeping on your stomach, you should be fine. Sleeping on your side, especially the left side, really is best though.
I always read different topics saying never sleep on your stomach.
D best way to sleep is on ur left side cos d baby can breathe easily then I don't tink is safe sleeping on ur tummy
I'm 20 weeks and still sleep on my tummy. Seriously? That must be an ignorant doctor.
Sure you can. I'm 21 weeks and sleep on my stomach, its the only way I'm comfortable. I've never heard that the baby can't breath either.
You can sleep ob your stomach as long as you are comfortable i have not ever heard of a baby not being able to breathe if you lay on your stomach.
I wouldn't sleep on my stomach, doctors says babies can't breathe.
