I'm 38 weeks and 3 days today. Last week on Wednesday when I was checked last, doctor said I was almost 4 centimeters dilated, 80% effaced, very soft cervix, and baby is fully engaged at 0 station. This is my first baby, and he's making me very impatient, and putting me through so much pain. I'm hoping he makes an appearance before my induction which is scheduled for the 21st. I don't want an induction :/ You still have plenty of time to progress though, and once your body gets into active labor, it doesn't matter whether you're 1 centimeter, or even closed, your body will get where it needs to, and possibly even really quickly. Don't worry too much. I know much easier said than done ! :P

You potentially have 3 weeks left so plenty time to dilate. Some women get stuck at a few cm for weeks before labour. Just enjoy the last wee while on your own, candle lit baths, getting pampered, reading your book cause you won't get them again for a while x
