Pregnancy test
Dear Dr, 21 days ago I have undergone an abortion and of course I have not yet got my menstruation. Today a urine pregnancy test shows positive! Can it be? Thanks!
I wouldnt recommmend another abortion at all....... It can cause problems in the future if you have more than one!
The test would still come back pos... at least for another week.. trust me, I have had a termination for medical reasons!! The test wil still come back positive, it take take MONTHS for your period to come, or get back to normal! Its only been 3 weeks....it wouldnt come so soon anyways... at least 6 weeks, and even then it might be a few spots... It took my best friend a year to get a period after her abortion......

Yes It could be. If you had unprotected sex. I wouldnt recommend having another abortion so soon.It's not healthy.
Your abortion was 3 weeks ago, you wouldnt have a period yet. AND abortions can delay your period just like birth and miscarriges can. You period could take MONTHS to come. And can cause it to be irregular as well.
If you have unprotected sex, which you are not meant to untill 2 weeks after a termination due to infections. Not even oral sex is allowed. Then you could possibly be pregnant again, as you are more fertile after terminations, birth and miscarriges.
If you don't have a period by the end of next month take a test, with first morning urine. Also if you take a test now it might come out positive because of the hormones in your body. So even if you're not preg again the test might come back positive.
